User Agreement

Welcome to ReadWith, provided by GROWING SEED MINISTRIES LTD. ("GSM", "we" or "us"). Please read these Terms and Conditions (this "User Agreement") carefully before using ReadWith (its apps, website, services and their content together make up the "Platform"). This User Agreement is a legally binding agreement between you and us and sets out the terms and conditions on which you may use the Platform. In this User Agreement, "you" and "your" mean you as a user of the Platform.

1. Acceptance

  • Our licence of the Platform to you is conditional on your keeping to this User Agreement. By downloading, installing or using the Platform or any part of it, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by this User Agreement. If you do not agree, you are not granted any right to use the Platform and you should not use it.
  • This User Agreement is to be read together with our Privacy Policy, shown in the app and at https://readwith.dev. Both apply to your use of the Platform.
  • We may modify, amend or revise this User Agreement from time to time. A change takes effect when we notify you of it; for significant changes we notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Platform after that means you agree to be bound by the change.

2. What the Platform is

ReadWith helps a group read the Bible together. Members read by a plan, check in, attend meetings, listen to or watch their mentor's content and ask their mentor questions. Leaders lead groups. Mentors write courses and plans and answer questions.

3. Licence and your account

  • Subject to your keeping to this User Agreement, we grant you, and you accept, a limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable licence to use the Platform and its content.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you join a group marked adults only (18+), you must give your true age; giving a false age to join one is a breach of this User Agreement.
  • You warrant that the information you give us is true and accurate. We bear no responsibility for false, inaccurate or untrue information or its consequences. We may refuse or end your access if you knowingly gave false information when signing up or joining a group. A display name other than your real name is allowed and is not false information.
  • You need an account to use most of the Platform. One person, one account. Keep your PIN or password safe; you are responsible for what is done through your account.
  • You may delete your account at any time in the app's settings. After deletion your personal data is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or deny access to the Platform, in whole or in part, for system upgrades, security, maintenance or other purposes we consider appropriate, and may add to, change or discontinue all or part of the Platform without notice to you. We may suspend or close an account that is unused for a long time.

4. Groups, leaders and mentors

  • Joining a group needs approval by its leader or mentor. A leader may ask a member to leave the group.
  • Leaders and mentors can see members' check-ins and reading progress, and the questions members ask, except where you chose to hide your name or to be answered privately by the mentor.
  • Mentors are responsible for the courses, plans, audio, video and replies they upload.
  • Mentors and leaders must treat members' data with care and must not disclose a member's identity or questions outside the Platform.

5. Your content

  • You are responsible for what you send (questions, messages, prayer requests, join requests) and confirm that you have the right to send it.
  • You allow us to store, transmit and display your content as needed to run the Platform.
  • Your reading notes stay only on your device. Please keep your own backup; we cannot restore them for you.

6. Your undertakings

You undertake that you will not:

  • use the Platform other than in accordance with this User Agreement;
  • copy, translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify the whole or any part of the Platform;
  • infringe our intellectual property rights, or those of any third party, in your use of the Platform;
  • send, post or promote anything defamatory, offensive, violent, discriminatory, hateful, sexual, fraudulent or unlawful, or harass, threaten or harm others;
  • impersonate anyone, or access another person's account or group without permission;
  • use the Platform for commercial promotion or spam; or
  • use or interfere with the Platform in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise our systems or security, or interfere with other users of the Platform.

7. AI helper

When a group has the AI helper on, some of your questions are answered by an AI. Its answers may be wrong and do not represent the position of GSM or your mentor; questions on sensitive matters go to your mentor. Rely on your mentor's reply and on the Bible text itself.

8. Security Mode

Security Mode helps people in sensitive settings show less. It cannot guarantee safety. Judge for yourself, in your own situation, whether to use the Platform.

9. Ownership of the Platform

  • The Platform, including its software, interface, content, information, images, text, graphics, illustrations, logos, trademarks, service marks, copyrights and all other intellectual property in it or connected with it, is owned by us or our third-party licensors and remains with us or them.
  • Course content uploaded by a mentor belongs to the mentor or their licensor. Bible translations are used under their own copyright notices.
  • No right, title or interest in the Platform passes to you or anyone else under this User Agreement, other than the limited licence in section 3.

10. No warranties

  • While every effort is made to keep the Platform running smoothly, we do not guarantee that it is fault-free, continuous or uninterrupted, and give no other warranties about your use of it. We do not endorse, certify or guarantee the quality, safety, accuracy or availability of the Platform.
  • The Platform and its content are provided for educational purposes. We make no representation or warranty about any result of using the content. While care is taken that content is accurate when it is published, we accept no responsibility for any errors in it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall in no circumstances be liable for any damage, cost, expense or loss resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Platform, its performance, or the use of or reliance on its content, including damage caused by malware, viruses, incorrect or incomplete information, compatibility issues, malfunctions, faults, or delay in transmitting instructions or data.

12. Term and termination

  • This User Agreement applies from the date you download or first use the Platform until it is ended under this User Agreement. You may end it at any time by deleting your account. When it ends, your access to and use of the Platform stop immediately.
  • We may end your use of the Platform on 2 days' notice if you have materially breached this User Agreement.

13. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. This User Agreement and the Privacy Policy govern your use of the Platform and replace any earlier agreement between you and us about it. You are not relying on, and have no remedy for, any undertaking, warranty, promise or assurance not set out in them.
  • Governing law. This User Agreement, and any non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with it, is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes go to the courts of Singapore.
